Oasis
Bereavement Support Group
Women2Women
Women 2 Women – reaching out, building up.
We have a regular programme for women throughout the year with the aim of encouraging women to share their faith.
There are a variety of events to choose from ranging from festive Gingerbread House decorating to Pimms and Pudding in the Vicarage Garden. Each event has a speaker and is designed to introduce friends to Jesus, so take your pick…
There are plenty of additional opportunities for women to meet and celebrate our unique design as women; whether it be our ladies discussion and Bible study group (Oasis), mum’s and toddlers (ABCs) or various craft groups
Men@HPC
We are a group of men who aim to grow in our faith with Jesus by learning and growing together, supporting and getting to know each other in our walk with Christ.
We meet once a month and enjoy a varied programme of events which have included visiting a golfing range followed by a curry, Saturday morning walk followed by breakfast and a talk, and Hot Potatoes – where we discuss hot potato subjects while also eating hot potatoes with delicious fillings. Come along when you can and meet with men of all ages to enjoy good fellowship and usually some good food as well!
Join us for a walk in Abbotts Wood, followed by a drink in the local pub
(more details to follow).
Meeting Point
A monthly meeting, (usually on the first Monday) at 1.45pm in the Church.
Most months we have a speaker and cover a wide range of subjects and interests through the year, plus a time of fellowship and friendship for anyone, old and young alike, whether members of HPC or not.
In August there is also an opportunity to enjoy a full day outing – details can be found in the lounge. Book early to secure your place!
Oasis
Oasis is a bible study group for women of all ages and stages. We currently have a creche, so this group is especially suited for those women with pre-school age children.
Our aim is to nurture and feed women from the Bible as they seek to follow the Lord Jesus Christ so that we can give an explanation of our faith and share it with others. This will enable our families and fellowship to be strengthened as we mature in the knowledge and love of God. We are committed to meet regularly so we grow to know one another in order to support each other practically and spiritually.
The supervised crèche is run by DBS cleared volunteers. We meet in the church lounge Tuesdays from 9.30 till 11am (school terms only).
Creative Craft
The craft group meets every Wednesday morning from 10-12 in the church lounge.
After a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit any notices are given out, followed by the craft prayer.
Most weeks people bring a project they are working on – card making, crochet, knitting, embroidery etc and and share their expertise and experience.
On some occasions someone may demonstrate a particular skill and we all have chance to participate.
Currently, we have about 10-12 regular attendees but we are always looking for new skills and talents.
We are a happy bunch and through our crafting we aim to support and sencourage each other in a friendly and uplifting atmosphere

Bereavement Support Group
If you feel you could benefit from meeting and sharing with others who have lost a treasured friend or a loved member of their family you will be most welcome at the Bereavement Support Group.
At our gatherings we are all able to say exactly how we are feeling and accept that our behaviours and actions are all quite normal. It is a very happy group with plenty of smiles and lovely memories, there is plenty of laughter and tears too. We recently had a session of videos which were most helpful.
We meet every fourth Thursday at The Laurel from 10 – 11.30am.
The group is all inclusive and anyone who feels that they need to chat with people going through the bereavement experience are most welcome.
For further information please just come along or contact Christine via office@hailshamchurch.org.
