Christmas Cracker!

Fun for all of the family – Sunday 8th December

An interactive Christmas experience for families with younger children,

including crafts, stories, songs and a delicious tea.

What an amazing afternoon! …The Church was transformed…

… and was soon filled as we welcomed over 120 people! As they entered the Church they went on a quirky adventure back in time (with Dr. Starkely Bonkers!) and travelled around the Church meeting different characters from the Nativity Story – in order to find out what was so special about the baby Jesus.

Children (and adults!) also had the opportunity to make Christmas crackers, decorations and even edible Christmas trees! Or simply play with the playdough and do some colouring in.

Dr. Starkely Bonkers also explained to everyone exactly why the baby Jesus was so special (because he was God’s Son) and then everyone enjoyed joining in with some singing – helped along by the Church junior band!

All too soon it was time to go – but not before a scrumptious of pizzas, sausage rolls, veggie sticks and of course, plenty of crisps, cakes and biscuits!

Why not have a look at the video below to see what we got up to…
