Staff Team

Vicar – David Bourne
David came to HPC in 2005 having served 20 years as Vicar of all Saints, Riseley in north Bedfordshire. After David’s first wife, Eluned, died, he married Kim in 2009. Kim, from Bermuda, was previously Women’s Minister at Duke Street Church, Richmond and St. Leonards Church, Exeter. David is a trustee of Bible by the Beach and chair of the Careforce Council and David and Kim are council members of Fellowship of Word and Spirit. They enjoy in no particular order history, cooking, travel, teaching the Bible and raising the profile of Bermuda!
Assistant Minister – Stan Tomalin
Stan has been in Hailsham since 2000, but until the summer of 2010, when St.Mary’s and Emmanuel churches combined forces, he was the minister at Emmanuel Church in the North of Hailsham. He is now the assistant minister at HPC. Before being ordained, Stan had a varied career working for the Department of Social Security and in various accountancy positions – until God got his hands on him! He is married to Anna, and they have two sons – one teenager, one almost (whatever an ‘almost’ is…) When Stan isn’t working, he likes nothing better than spending time with the family. He also enjoys reading, watching too much telly, and the odd sip of cider.
Curate – Dan Henderson
Dan came to work at St. Mary’s having made the huge journey from West Sussex to East Sussex. Born and raised in Rustington, he married Jo (an East Sussex girl) in 2003, after which they lived in Chichester for 4 years where Dan worked as a youth worker and Jo worked in HR, before heading to train for ministry at Oak Hill Theological College in north London. They’re now settled in to Hailsham life with their two daughters Lydia and Sophie. Dan enjoys watching films and boxsets, fixing LCD TV’s, skiing and technology, while the rest of the Henderson family’s interests include reading, Disney, baking, gurgling, and skiing (again).
