The music at HPC is varied, including both modern and traditional songs and hymns. The music team includes people of different ages with a range of musical gifts and backgrounds.
Our choir sings for 10.30 a.m. Sunday services, rehearsing beforehand from ten o’clock. The choir also sings for occasional special 6.30 p.m. Sunday services, usually with two to four Friday evening rehearsals in advance.
Several instrumentalists (serving on a rota) play for 10.30 a.m. Sunday services. Instrumentalists’ rehearsals normally take place on Friday evenings (7.45 until 9.15 p.m.). Congregational singing at Sunday evening services is led by the organ or piano.
Youth Band is for young people aged 11 upwards. It meets on Tuesday evenings during term time from 7.30 until 8.45 p.m.
