Children & Families

Sunday Morning Crèche & Children’s Groups

HPC runs children’s groups during part of every Sunday service (except the first Sunday of each month when we have an ‘ALL-Age’ service). These groups are run by a team of volunteers from the church. Ages 0 – 8 meet in the church lounge as ‘Crèche’, ‘Scramblers’ and ‘Climbers’ and ages 8 – 14, the ‘Explorers’ and ‘Pathfinders’, meet over the road in The Link coffee shop.

Salt

Salt is for anyone in school years 9 – 12 who wants to meet up with other people the same age and learn more about Jesus while eating cake! We meet on Wednesdays at 19, St. Wilfrid’s Green (Curate’s house) and have socials about once a month on Sunday afternoons including films on the big screen, games and, just recently, fireworks in the Curate’s lounge!

Holiday Clubs

HPC have three holiday club events a year for primary school age children: Easter Explorers (three days finishing on Good Friday), HPC Summer Holiday Club (Tues – Fri of the first week of summer holidays) and new for 2011, Crackers! (morning of 20th Dec.)

All of these help kids learn about God whilst having the most fun possible! We have a strong team committed to looking after the children and joining in with the craft, crazy games, learning, music, team challenges, dramas and whatever else we can think of!

ABC’s

Activities and stories for babies and pre-school children with their parent/carer.  Meet in the church lounge 9.30-11.30am on Thursdays during term time.

Youth Zone

A Youth Club for School Years 5-8 between 7-8.30pm on the second Saturday of the month.  A variety of games including snooker and table tennis, themed evenings, tuck shop and a chance to catch up with friends.

Uniformed Organisations

Rainbows, Brownies and Guide groups meet on Friday evenings and another Guide group meet on a Monday evening and take part in our All Age service once a month.  These are for girls aged 5-14 and offer a wide range of activities and challenges within the pack and district.
